The degree to which a piece of content may no longer reflect current reality, typically inferred from how long it has gone unreviewed or how frequently its source changes.
Distinct from being wrong — stale content was accurate when written and has simply not been re-checked, which is why staleness detection and contradiction detection are separate capabilities.
